THIS IS THE SOUND THAT IS CREATED WHEN DANCE MEETS THE TROPICS.

His steaming hot track ‘Get Ya Swagga On’ Part II is bursting with colour, teaming with energy and frustratingly catchy but what makes this track so unique was the location of its genesis in the Caribbean. So unusual was it, that wacky grime artist Afrikan Boy best known for his Paper Planes remix with M.I.A. powerful vocalist Taliyah and Dabz The Motive couldn’t resist a collaboration.

THIS IS THE SOUND THAT IS CREATED WHEN DANCE MEETS THE TROPICS.

The track is catchy with a pumping baseline. Due to its work out, high tempo, energy and confidence this is a track that fitness buffs will adore. The track serves as a sort of sugar high because beneath the braggadocios and narcissistic lyrics beholds a great message encouraging listeners to welcome the opportunity to shake off their worries and celebrate self… if only for the duration of the track.

Background

A successful businessman and self confessed workaholic, The Feevah juggles his business with an unwavering love for music. He first fell in love with music as a babe at 7 years old singing soprano for his church choir and appearing on national television regularly. As he grew so did his musical tastes. The Feevah managed and wrote song’s for the career’s of up and coming artists in the Caribbean proving pivotal in carving a path for the Caribbean’s, alternative genre, Hip Hop. He was instrumental in bringing awareness to the lesser known genre. It was at the same time that unknown artist, Rihanna, appeared in Barbados’ newspaper headed to the Big apple for a career with Def Jam, that The Feevah appeared simultaneously announcing his unique journey to Great Britain with better access to more established networks. This journey would prove pivotal in influencing The Feevah’s creative expression.

The Sound

The tongue in cheek lyrics, where first scribbled onto a notepad overseas whilst the artist was holidaying in his beautiful home island of Barbados.

The Feevah is a huge fan of the House scene and was blown away by Donea’s ‘Party Hard’ single, which was an absolute club anthem. The Feevah decided to take this a step further by opening the track up in such a way that evokes national engagement. He teamed his love for the contemporary dance scene and pop with a funky house beat which makes this track a bouncy bag of fun from the moment that the first beat drops.

This track has amazing energy, confidence and club appeal. This is the kind of track played before a great night out or simply a great listen for any occasion. Not one to be overlooked ‘Get Ya Swagga On’ is angling itself for the UK charts where it promises a fruitful reign.
