War of Words: Rihanna Vs Daily Mail Journalist Liz Jones – Ding Ding!!!

Rihanna is an absolute stunner – hands down

Liz Jones of The Daily Mail has provoked the wrath of Pop Princess Rihanna after labelling her, “Pop’s Poisonous Princess”.

The Journalist, who mentions meeting Rihanna on a couple of occasions, launched an attack on Rihanna in an opinion piece which would catch not only the attention of the world media but Rihanna herself. Liz Jones came up with a series of insults which ranged from Rihanna’s on off relationship with RnB singer Chris Brown, and lack of moral scruples to her choice of jewellery… (yes really)

In typical Rihanna fashion, the star took to Instagram to lay into Liz Jones. The singers reaction has caught the attention of various national UK newspapers  and international press and blogs in a name and shame comeback which would see Rihanna referring to Liz Jones as a “Sloppy Menopausal Mess” (ouch!). Rihanna is hot stuff  right now and practically royalty in the UK and insulting this musical giant renowned for her rebellious, outspoken, Rock and Roll demeanour (without adequate ammo) may not have been well thought through by the shamed journalist. Granted, Liz may have touched on a raw nerve and yes, perhaps the criticism has come at a time when Ri Ri may be feeling slightly sore following the breakdown of her  turbulent relationship, and yes, maybe this news, whilst Ri Ri was in another ‘space’ wouldn’t have provoked such a fierce reaction however, journalists do tend to overlook that celebrities are real people too, and maybe a taste of her own medicine will be a humbling experience.

Liz Jones, Journalist of Daily Mail

“LOL!!!! My money got a bad habit of pissing people off!! If you sincerely wanna help little girls more than their own parents do, here’s a toxic tip: don’t be amateur with your articles, you sound bitter! What’s all this about hair and nails and costumes and tattoos?? ….That shit ain’t clever!!! That shit ain’t journalism! That’s a sad sloppy menopausal mess!!! Nobody over here acts like they’re perfect! I don’t pretend that I’m like you, i just live… My life!! And I don’t know why y’all still act so surprised by any of it!! “Role Model” is not a position or title that I have ever campaigned for, so chill wit dat! I got my own fucked up shit to work on, I’ll never portray that as perfect, but for right now it’s ME!! Call it what ya want!! Toxic was cute, Poisonous Pop Princess had a nice ring to it, just a lil wordy! And P.S. my first American Vogue cover was in 2011…APRIL!!! #ElizabethAnnJones”
