She took the music industry by storm with her wacky fashion statements and eccentric personality quickly becoming a media favourite.

— before we move on let it be said that much of Gaga’s eccentricity was inspired by the extraordinary Grace Jones.. just giving credit where its due, watch Graces Jones in action below — back to the story.

By 2008 Lady Gaga  came into prominence with her debut album, The Fame and the rest was history,  Her achievements include five Grammy Awards and 13 MTV Video Music Awards, but no sooner had she barged onto the music scene, did Lady Gaga fade into obscurity.

So what on earth has become of The Fame Monster? Some pictures that surfaced on the net paint a more honest picture of the troubled star who in fact after coming under criticism for being fat revealed that she has struggled with Bullemia and Aneroxia since the age of 15. Lady Gaga says she has drawn on “past pain” to create her album ArtPop for which the teaser will follow later this week.

The unrecognisable singer posted the photo to her fan site ahead of releasing a new single.

She wrote: “As they pry the single from my bleeding fingers. It’s a scary thing to revisit those things underneath, the pain in your past. But all I found was raw passion. I thought I was destroyed inside. I’m ready to fight. Start the music.”

Lady Gaga’s forthcoming album will be released in November later this year and will draw upon dark past experiences. As well as her struggle with weight she has spoken about taking bags and bags of cocaine and LSD at the start of her music career.

Earlier this month the pop star shut down her Twitter account, deleting tweets up to February 2013 when she had to cancel all remaining US dates on her Born this Way tour due to surgery on her hip.

Despite her shortened tour and recent hiatus, the 27-year-old was yesterday named the wealthiest celebrity under 30 by Forbes with an estimated fortune of £52 million.
