Throwback Thursdays

ThrowbackThursdayWe were listening to:

Ten years ago – Girls Aloud were going strong and had just released ‘The Show.’ Looking girlsaloud-reunion1back now, it’s clear to see just how good time has been to the girls. Cheryl has new teeth, Kimberly has new hair and thankfully, Nicole let go of the tan. Saying that, they were actually quite cute and celebrated massive success as a girl group, which isn’t an easy thing to do.

Twenty years aphoto_02go – All 4 One may not be a name you’d remember but you will remember their loved-up track ‘I Swear.’ They basically put wedding vows into a song, teamed them up with killer harmonies and released it at a time when boy bands were everything.

We were watching:

Ten years ago – Chad Michael Murray and Hilary Duff were the teen stars of the moment.A_Cinderella_Story_Once_Upon_a_Song_poster Every teenage girl either wanted to be Hilary or be with Chad. It was a genius move to put the pair together in ‘A Cinderella Story,’ a modern day take on the classic fairytale.

Twenty years ago – Arnold Schwarzenegger was big in the action game back in the day and in 1994 he kept up his fighting streak thanks to ‘True Lies.’ The action comedy also starred Jamie Lee Curtis as the oblivious True_lies_posterwife who didn’t know her husband was a spy. Classic.

We were talking about:

Weddings! Jennifer Lopez married the man we thought would finally make her happy. Sadly, after two kids and a couple of collaborations, J-Lo and Marc Anthony split after 7 years of marriage. Britney Spears also got hitched in 2004, but took it to another level after her Vegas wedding to friend Jason Alexander lasted a mere 55 hours. That’s even shorter than a Kardashian wedding!
