10 Hot Albums To Ward Off The Winter Blues 2014

The summer season may be over… (a moment of silence please…) but while we’re breaking out the woolly jumpers and firing up our neglected boilers,  the music industry has been emitting some of its very own heat as some of our favourite artists release hot new music to help us through those cold winter nights. Here’s Premier One PR’s guide to the 2014 Autumn/Winter album releases.

  1. Chris Brown ‘X’

chris-brown-x-albumIt feels like we’ve been waiting way too long for this one but after a few delays and a stint in jail Chris Brown has finally set a solid release date for his 6th studio album ‘X’. With singles ‘Loyal’ and ‘New Flame’ showing that Chris still has all that talent despite everything, we’re excited to hear the rest of the LP which is due out September 16.

  1. Jhene Aiko ‘Souled Out’

jheneaiko‘Souled Out’ is our most anticipated album on this list. Jhene Aiko has been proving to everyone that she’s one of the biggest new artists to watch thanks to her hazy, alternative R&B sound. Aiko’s star is going to get a lot brighter so make sure you get ready for her debut album ‘Souled Out ‘ on September 9.

  1. Jessie Ware ‘Tough Love’

jessie-ware-newSomething about Jessie Ware is just perfect for the winter. She has this innate ability to make you feel comfortable and relaxed with her voice, which is going to be perfect during these cold nights. ‘Tough Love’ will be Jessie’s second studio album and is sure to be just as amazing as her last.

  1. Tinashe ‘Aquarius’

3v8JFADTinashe is our breakthrough artist of 2014 so far. The 21 year old caught everyone’s attention with her fierce ‘2 On’ and has just released the A$AP Rocky assisted ‘Pretend’ which is sure to be another hit. Tinashe is set for big things this year and next so her debut album ‘Aquarius’ will be a must listen.

         5. Charli XCX ‘Sucker’

charli_xcxWe’ve only recently been getting to know Charli XCX thanks to her feature on Iggy Azalea’s ‘Fancy’ and her huge hit ‘Boom Clap’ which featured on one of this summer’s biggest movies ‘The Fault In Our Stars.’ Now Charli is gearing up to show us what she’s made of, with the release of her new album ‘Sucker.’ With a title like that, we’re sure it’s going to be full of anthems and attitude.

  1. Taylor Swift ‘1989’

Unknown-2Taylor Swift is gearing up to release her 6th studio album. Yes, that’s right, her 6th album. Swift has been around for eight years now which makes her a music veteran at this stage. While her previous releases were all country we’re seeing a more goofy pop side to the singer/songwriter which is sure to gain Taylor a whole new stream of fans.

  1. The Script ‘No Sound Without Silence’

12946Everyone’s favourite Irish lads are back with their 4th album ‘No Sound Without Silence.’ Danny, Glen and Mark know how to tell a story and get a message across in their music. They create tracks that everyone can relate to which is what makes them so special and makes us look forward to hearing a lot more from them.

  1. Ella Henderson ‘Chapter One’

942Ella Henderson has surprised us all this summer with her smash hit ‘Ghost.’ The track took over the airwaves following her debut performance on this year’s ‘Britain’s Got Talent’ and we can’t get enough of her since. The X Factor star is gearing up to release her debut album, aptly titled ‘Chapter One’ and if ‘Ghost’ is anything to go by it’s going to be the first of many albums to come.

  1. Nicki Minaj ‘The Pink Print’

nicki-minaj-anacondaSpeaking about her ‘The Pink Print’ album, Nicki Minaj has assured everyone the LP will bring her back to her roots and we won’t have to endure another ‘Starships’ track again. Unfortunately, she then released ‘Anaconda.’ We thought she was done with all that attention seeking but hopefully it’s the only blip in what we’re thinking will be a serious hip-hop album from the self proclaimed Queen of Rap

       10. Cheryl ‘Only Human’

9wUDutfThe new Mrs.Fernadez-Versini who is now professionally known just as Cheryl, is back again with a brand new album and a brand new attitude. Things got tough for our favourite Girls Aloud member but you can’t keep a good girl down and with a seat on the X Factor panel along with this new album, we’re sure this Autumn/Winter is going to be Cheryl season once again.
